The Alexander Technique is a self help method that increases awareness of how we use ourselves in our everyday activities. It teaches us to use conscious thought to undo unconscious patterns of muscular activity that have been accumulated over the years. This process allows our natural balancing mechanisms to support us in freer and more co-ordinated movement, more like they did when we were children, before we ever heard of trying to sit correctly or to stand up straight. Applying the Technique can not only improve poise and performance but can also prevent pain and alleviate many medical conditions.

S.T.A.T. registered teachers Gloria Pullan & Colin Beattie offer individual lessons and regular introductory workshops in various locations around London, Hitchin and Belfast.
